Profile:
Hi! My name is Daan Verheij, I am 21 years old and in my third year of studying Physiotherapy at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. I am calm, sociable and driven, and my big passions are exercise and helping people.
Movement has played a central role throughout my life. For instance, I played football at a high level for 12 years and have been a fanatic at the gym for the past four years. I have also been playing indoor football for a year.
During my internships at Motion Physiotherapy & Prevention and Salvedo Health Clinic, and through my studies, I gained a lot of practical experience. I learned how to investigate complaints, guide patients and carry out treatments. These experiences have only further increased my enthusiasm for the profession.
My goal as a beginning physiotherapist is to help people optimise their recovery, reduce complaints and prevent injuries. I have a broad interest within the profession and am currently mainly gaining experience and knowledge to support people in achieving their goals.
I am very much looking forward to my internship at FRISK, where I will be found on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the next five months. I see this as a great opportunity to further develop my knowledge and actively contribute to people's recovery and well-being.
