Physiotherapist assistant
About Daan
Hi, my name is Daan Verheij and I am 21 years old. I am in my third year of studying physiotherapy at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam.
Movement has played a central role throughout my life. For instance, I played football at a high level for 12 years and have been fanatically active in the gym for the past four years. I have also been playing indoor football for a year now. Sport gives me energy and has taught me discipline, perseverance and team spirit.
During my internships at Motion Physiotherapy and Prevention and Salvedo Health Clinic, and through my studies, I gained a lot of practical experience. I learned how to systematically examine complaints, supervise patients and carry out treatments. These experiences have further increased my enthusiasm for the profession.
My goal as a beginning physiotherapist is to help people optimise their recovery, reduce complaints and prevent injuries. I have a broad interest within the profession and am currently mainly focused on deepening my knowledge and gaining as much practical experience as possible, so that I can support people in achieving their goals to the best of my ability.
I am looking forward to doing an internship at FRISK on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the next five months. I see this as a great opportunity to develop further and actively contribute to clients' recovery and well-being.
