Profile:
My name is Julie and I am doing an internship at FRISKFYSIO in Amstelveen during the first semester of this academic year. I am currently in the third year of my physiotherapy studies at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. My interest in the moving body and how the human body works has always fascinated me, and this study offers me the opportunity to dive deeper into this world.
In 2022, I completed my initial education at the Academy of Physical Education (ALO), where I learned a lot about the basics of exercise and sports. Yet I found that my curiosity went beyond what I had learnt during the ALO. It was this discovery that prompted me to pursue a second degree in physiotherapy, allowing me to further specialise in the musculoskeletal system and the body's repair processes. I believe that understanding the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the body is essential for delivering the best possible care to clients.
As someone who hails from the southernmost tip of the Netherlands, I grew up with Limburg's hospitality and conviviality, and I hope to bring this warm, open approach to my work. Whether giving advice, guiding recovery processes or offering support, I strive to build a good and personal relationship with my clients so that they feel at ease and fully trust my guidance.
I am driven and passionate about my field. I possess great discipline and believe that cooperation is essential in achieving success, both for myself and my clients. My goal is to use my knowledge and skills to help people alleviate their physical complaints and support them in their recovery so that they can continue their daily activities with ease. I look forward to further expanding my knowledge and applying my skills in practice during this internship at FRISKFYSIO, and ultimately making a valuable contribution to the health of others as a physiotherapist.
